About the Valerie Crescenz Collection
Valerie Crescenz
Valerie Showers Crescenz, a native of Bethlehem PA, began piano lessons at age 3 and has been making music ever since. She has a B.S. in Music Education, a M.M. in Piano Performance, and a Master’s degree in composition from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She has been an instructor at West Chester, Penn State (Lima campus) and Delaware County Community College, having taught classes in music theory, music history, and piano.
She currently teaches music at West Bradford Elementary School, Downingtown, PA, where she also directs the chorus. She has also been a choir director, an organist, and has also performed as a pianist/vocalist for a number of years. Valerie’s work has won numerous awards, she has been commissioned by schools, churches and community choral groups, and her works are published by a number of companies. She is a member of ASCAP, American Composers Forum, National Association for Music Education, American Choral Directors Association, and Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.Â
